No one ever believes me when I tell them that our kids are from a home for troubled teens. After all, what are the most respectful, well-mannered young people doing in a place like that? And therein lies the secret. Some of the greatest potential in America and Canada lies bottled up in the hearts of young people who have never been given a chance - young people who have been neglected or abused or derailed by the evil influences of the culture. But when Christ touches a life, everything changes. Take Clifford, for instance. This young man, who was arrested for assaulting his own mother and was labelled with Oppositionally Defiant Disorder, has become one of the greatest young people you will ever meet. He is the most kind and polite young man, and the hardest worker you can think of. And I don’t think he knows how to complain. Yet, at one time, he was tearing apart his family and attempting to end his life. Christ can change anyone, if we will just give Him a chance to work. And that is what you do when you support the young people of Freedom Village. You give the teens the chance they need to find Christ and let Him work in their lives. And you get trophies like Cliff in return. As things wax worse and worse, your support is literally saving lives. Thanks for giving young people like Clifford a chance. I know he appreciates it - more than you will ever know.
