Commencement Activities for the Class of 2007 Saturday, June 2 at 1PM in the Dundee School Auditorium It is that time of the year again - the end of the school year where we take time to recognize the young people for their achievements in sports, music and school, and to celebrate with the young people who have graduated from high school this year. When the world has so many negative things to say about kids today (a recent report said that less than one in three kids who enter the eighth grade in an inner city public school actually end up graduating), Freedom Village has so many positive things to say. It is just a fact - failure begets failure. Kids who have been told that they will never amount to anything are destined to fail. Young people who have no one to encourage them and lift them up often end up failing. On the other hand, success begets success. When a young person starts to see that there is hope and to experience success, it becomes easy to succeed. When these young people - this year’s graduating class - find that they can do what they once thought was impossible, then there is no limit to what they can accomplish. God is the hope that this generation is desperately searching for. Praise the Lord that these young people have found that answer, and are forever changed. Check out some of the pictures.
